Adding a dark side that interesting for the young audit audience, the illustrations detailed and osculated imagery is intriguing but important within this artistic style that this age group needs to interest them.
The Wolves of Willoughby Chase, by Joan Aiken.
This illustration design is very expressive of its dark and mystery story line, using white space within this black and white design, the title is the only colour making its bold along side the black wolf figures. Its typography is old fashions so it gives the idea that the story is old too, adding the thought of a creeping children story like the original Red Riding Hood.
Skelling, by David Almond.
This design is focuses on the main aspect of the book which is the wings, a constant reminder of the books interesting and meaningful story, its drawing style is very similar to a teenager type, making it relatable to the audience, its colours being dark, used look also is a represents the story line too, its little details like this are good for the audience after reading the book and understanding to see and get. It seem to be darker more creative story for this age group, and this is shown within the design of the front pages, its interesting story line has to intrigued to audience with its design. Within these two stories, imaginative and outgoing styles get the audience involved.

Its textured and fun design is great for babes and toddles and lean, its bold colours a additive for new and early eyes. Just seeing the Caterpillar on the front pages is enough for the toddler to remember and understand, its fun and creative.

Its illustrators are very detailed, this is to create it as humanly looking as possible as the stories are set and properly a similar surrounds as a baby or toddler, its fun and naughty story line is decently foreseen in the illustrations which the reader can understand and also find funny.

The famous looking and book is designed for 3 to 6 years old, its rhyme is loved my children and its 3 colour tone character is loved for its metamorphosis understanding. Its design is fun and playful.

Detail is key within this design, its realistic design is what children see and understand the adventure, its something they are also involved in. Softer colours and more focus on the background and other surroundings.
